Abigail Greisen, owner of Ardor Dancewear, started her dance journey back in 2018 as a freshman in high school. She fell in love with all aspects of ballroom dance, but especially with the gorgeous costumes. In 2019, she began the process of learning how to design and create dance jewelry, and occasionally toyed with the idea of making her own dress. With school and dance training, she never had the time. Once she moved to Utah for college in 2021, she noticed a lack of variety in the dresses available. With BYU costuming restrictions unique to Utah, dresses looked very similar, and tended to circulate within the state. All dancers deserve to feel special, in a unique dress made just for them, so Abigail decided she wanted to create unique designs that still follow these BYU rules.
In January of 2023, Abigail started Ardor Dancewear. Since the start of her time designing and making dancewear, she has strived to create unique pieces that are curated to the style of dance as well as the dancer’s wants and needs. She uses her design education and knowledge of current costuming trends, as well as her training across multiple dance styles, to create unique jewelry and costumes that stand out on the floor. Looking to the future, Ardor Dancewear aims to outfit more and more dancers in unique, couture dresses that not only stands out, but also helps you bring confidence and personality onto the dance floor.
